Dear Democratic-Socialist, nothing is free, not even the air you breath.

Posted on October 25, 2019

I like free stuff, don’t you? If I am walking through a store and they are offering samples, I do sample. Especially cheese. Seems that free stuff is the trend nowadays. Free Healthcare, free College, free housing, free…well about everything. It is the promise of the Democratic-Socialist and the Democratic candidates (barring a couple). Of course they don’t really mean it is free, what they mean is they are going to take from others to make it free for you. You can go to college and get that degree in Holistic Underwater Basket Weaving and it will be paid for by those rich jerks. And as we all know, Holistic Underwater Basket Weavers are in high demand. They want to make sure you…

Empathy for Greta Thunberg.

Posted on September 24, 2019

I actually can have empathy for the Climate Strike, and its unlikely heroine. Unlike many of my generation who scoff at a “lowly” 16 year old girl who is crying out to her elders, to pay attention, to a pressing crisis. I am not scoffing. I know exactly how she feels. Like Greta, I read all the articles, heard the news reports, saw the science. If things didn’t change soon, the world would end. Burnt to a cinder. Nothing would ever be the same, and life as we know it? Gone forever. I read that whole ecosystems would collapse, even the sea would die. Mass extinctions would follow, humanity wouldn’t stand a chance. And in the end? The world would be one…

That Pesky 2nd Amendment.

Posted on August 15, 2019

Have you noticed that much of the talk on gun violence in America centers around the 2nd Amendment? That if we just tweak it a bit, or maybe scrap it altogether the violence would just go away? I mean, for Pete’s Sake we already have the means of a well regulated Militia. We call them the National Guard. Having 25 assault rifles and 10,000 rounds of ammo in your basement isn’t necessary, is it?  Zombies are not real folks, you don’t need all those guns.   What exactly were the Founders thinking when they proposed such an Amendment?    Exactly the question that needs to be answered.   Historical context is the one thing Americans really suck at. Rarely do we look back at…

Tips for being a Modern Day Racist.

Posted on July 14, 2019

1.) Everyone is a racist. They just haven’t accepted it yet. 2.) When you find you are losing the argument, call them a racists, they will settle down and leave the argument. You can claim victory over the racist jerk. 3.) All people that fall on the Right Hand of the above scale are inherently racists. They really can’t help it you know. It’s a genetic disorder that will most likely never be fixed. 4.) All people that fall on the Left Hand of the above scale can not be racist. They have the opposite genetic disorder. And yeah, it will most likely never be fixed. 5.) Political viewpoint is a determining factor in racism. 6.) When in doubt, call the other…

The Democrats Dilemma.

Posted on May 31, 2019

All is not well in the House of Representatives. Stirrings, murmurs, whispers are circulating the halls, the bathrooms, dare say I? The Gymnasium. The talk is whether to go ahead and Impeach the 45th President, Donald J. Trump for obstructing of justice. To do what is right for the American people, and ultimately, as their civic duty as Representatives. Unfortunately, that is not how it is going, instead? Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and every Cable, Newspaper and News Media outlet is working overtime to shove the impeachment narrative down our throats. Either for or against. And the outcome of this? Well as Democratic Presidential Candidate Beto O’Rourke said in his speech last night…wait? Did he give a speech last night? You know, I’m not…

Donald Trump…the guy at the end of the bar.

Posted on May 28, 2019

Donny sits at the end of the bar. I’ve seen Donny around for years, usually sipping on his soft drink, maybe ordering a burger, Donny always has something to say. It’s best to ignore Donny, but he rarely ignores you. Some people like to argue with him, but those poor fools, well, Donny tends to get the better of them. “Yeah, hey Don, what do you know about politics? Huh? You’re just a real estate guy!” One patron will chuckle at him. Donny bobs his head, finishes his bite of his burger and calmly says. “You ever put up a garage at your house? Remember all the red tape you went though? Try putting up a hundred million dollar building in NYC, then…

Why the New Abortion Laws don’t bother the Sea Turtles.

Posted on May 16, 2019

Normally, I tend to avoid discussions on abortion. Just bad form old boy, very bad form. The reason is rather simple, and I am sure you are used to them too. Visceral Reactions, no matter what your take is on the subject. Nobody agrees, everyone has their own point of view. The Middle Ground? Is for whoosies. But the subject has come to the forefront lately. With two States, Georgia and Alabama, enacting new laws that for all intents and purposes, outlaw abortion. Neither of these laws will survive for long, and both will die in the courts, to be ignored by the Supreme Court. All of this is, of course, political posturing. Reactions from Republican lawmakers in response to Democratic lawmakers in…
